TOKYO 12 Mac - Lebih 1,000 orang dikhuatiri terbunuh di Jepun ekoran kejadian tsunami setinggi 10 meter selepas gempa bumi sekuat 8.9 pada skala Richter, dengan kebanyakan kematian akibat lemas, lapor media tempatan.

Kira-kira 3,000 penduduk yang tinggal berdekatan loji nuklear di Wilayah Fukushima, utara Tokyo dipindahkan daripada kawasan tersebut.

Kerajaan menyatakan tiada kebocoran berlaku di loji berkenaan namun tahap radiasi semakin meningkat. - Reuters
